CHCF has unveiled a new Web site rating thousands of the state’s long term care providers on a wide range of quality of care measures – information that will help consumers make better choices and focus providers on improving quality.
This presentation finds that California has made strong gains in reducing the percentage of uninsured children. However, more than 12% still have no health coverage, and funding cuts are slowing enrollment in public programs.
Taxes and fees on health care providers have become a key component of Medicaid financing in 43 of 50 states. This issue brief examines California's experience with provider fees under Medi-Cal.

On July 1, Medi-Cal ended reimbursements to clinics for dentistry, optometry, psychology and other services for adult beneficiaries, posing a new round of challenges for clinics that provide such services to low-income patients.
