Senate Committee Approves Single-Payer Health Care Bill

Mark Leno (D-San Francisco), that would offer universal access to health care services for all state residents through government-funded public-private partnerships. The California Universal Health Care Act, which the panel approved in a 5-3 vote, now heads to the Senate Appropriations Committee.
