Assembly Committee OKs Bill on Medical Pot Dispensaries

On Tuesday, the Assembly's public safety committee voted 4-2 to pass a bill (AB 2312), by Assembly member Tom Ammiano (D-San Francisco), that would create statewide regulations for medical marijuana dispensaries. Lawmakers voted along party lines, with Democrats supporting the bill. The measure now goes to the Assembly appropriations committee.
