Study: Fever in Pregnancy Raises Autism Risk for Infants

According to a study published online in the Journal of Autism and Developmental Disorders, women who had a fever during pregnancy were twice as likely to have a child with autism. However, the study found that the risk was eliminated when women took fever-reducing medications like Tylenol. The study was conducted by researchers at the UC-Davis MIND Institute.
