Sexually Transmitted Infections Among Young Adults in Sacramento on the Rise, Report Finds
The rate of sexually transmitted infections has increased among Sacramento County's young adult population, according to the county's latest Community Health Status report. The report shows that the number of Chlamydia cases rose by 43% between 2003 and 2012, while Gonorrhea cases saw a 12% increase over the same time period. The report notes that the majority of the STI cases have occurred in females ages 15 to 24.
