Several California institutions were included in U.S. News & World Report's annual list of the Best Medical Schools for primary care and research, U.S. News reports (U.S. News & World Report, 3/10).
Details of Rankings
For the research rankings, U.S. News assessed each school's performance on eight indicators:
- Acceptance rates;
- Assessment scores by residency directors;
- Average research activity per faculty member;
- Faculty-to-student ratios;
- MCAT scores;
- Peer assessment scores;
