Thanks for the feedback...please advise what you mean by " Properly conducted" and your definition of "disabled"? Again what qualifies a client for ADHC?

It is great, Debbie. Also it is interesting what’s wrong with the “dancing, yoga, transportation, free meals, medication, etc.” It’s clear that properly conducted for disabled people dancing and yoga improve their mobility, independence, and self-esteem. It is known that they need financial and physical help with the transportation and meal. It is evident that majority of them need help with the medication management, etc. If they get all of these by the ADHC or similar Programs than Nursing Homes, Emergency Rooms, Hospitals, Doctors Offices, etc. would be not overcrowded, their families would be easy employable, the California unemployment rate and budget deficit would be lower, etc…

In response to Mr. Krikorian's comments:

Clearly you have some misunderstanding regarding ADHC. We serve people with severe developmental and other disabilities and we speak out on behalf of them and with them where they are able to self-advocate. Nothing is free in ADHC, by the way. I pay for ADHC with my tax dollars and I pay for ADHC with the money I have to raise to cover what the state does not cover in the cost to provide services. I encourage you to look beyond whatever your limited experience with ADHC has been and stop trashing an entire industry. There are hundreds of dedicated and honest providers out there. And as with any industry, there are exceptions. Do your homework and ease your hate.

Disabled Cuts? Who speaks for those that can not speak for themselves? It is a shame when lobby and union groups can put pressure on Gov Brown and Govt reps for ADHC....and not speak out for the Disabled. Has anyone answered the question of what does it take to be a ADHC client? Who looks in and see the accountability behind the closed doors....dancing, yoga, transportation, free meals??, medication, etc? California and the USA is on a deadend journey.
